Types of waste accepted
Types of waste not accepted
Anyone delivering unauthorized waste to the city's Solid Waste Management Facility will be responsible for its removal and proper disposal. The City’s Recycling Program consists of three operations:
The citizens collection operation is comprised of one full service drop-off center located at the 1271 Indiana Street, and one newspaper drop-off site is located in the parking lot adjacent to the City's Court House. The full service center accepts plastic, steel, and aluminum containers as well as newspaper. Because newspapers normally accumulate faster and take up more space, citizens are provided with an additional convenient newspaper drop-off site. Effective August 1, 2007 the City has discontinued accepting glass to recycle. A viable market for recycled glass is being researched and when one becomes available the City will restart that program. |
