Court Security

The Sheriff's Office is responsible for the
safety and security of the courthouse,
and transportation of inmates to and from courts.
In Fiscal year 2008 - 2009 the Sheriff's Office provided security for 695
court sessions and transported 1,594 persons in custody.
The Sheriff's Office uses both standing and hand-held metal detectors, as well as an x-ray machine to
ensure that weapons are not introduced into the
courthouse.

spray or mace, scissors, handcuff keys
